The Medi-Slim Diet

What is the Medi-Slim Diet?
The Medi-Slim Diet is more than just a diet. Dr. Ali designed this diet, and he, along with his experienced medical staff, will walk along this journey with you every step in the way and help you achieve incredible results that you can maintain long-term.
Part One: Designing Your Diet Plan
When we design your diet plan, we'll consider your preferences. When it comes to your diet, there are different paths to reaching your weight loss goals, and you get to choose which path. You'll be able to choose from three different diet plans:
- High-Protein, Low Carb Meal Plan (Keto Diet)
- Low-Calorie Diet
- Vegetarian Diet
When you come in and meet with us, we'll review the details of each diet and help you determine which one is the right option for you. Some patients already eat vegetarian-based foods, so they naturally choose a vegetarian diet. Others prefer to eat a diet filled with high-protein and low-carb foods. Still, others choose to follow the low-calorie meal plan, as for insulin-dependent diabetics. There is no wrong choice, and all options will lead to success, but you get to make the choice.
Part Two: Establishing an Exercise Routine
Exercise is an important part of any weight loss program. The purpose of exercise isn't just to burn calories, although that is an advantage. Exercise helps increase your metabolism, builds lean muscle mass, promotes cardiovascular health, increases blood flow, and improves mood. We'll review the importance of exercise with you, how long you should exercise each day, and what type of exercises you should focus on.
Part Three: Behavioral Counseling
Behavioral counseling is an underrated part of the weight loss process. However, this component is critical because learning why you make the choices you do and how to change your habits, and your lifestyle is the key to long-term weight loss. So many people follow fad diets and lose weight, but once that diet is over, they regain the weight they lost, sometimes even more, because they never learned how to create new habits.
Behavioral counseling will help you change your behavior so that you can learn to make the right diet, fitness, and lifestyle choices so that you can maintain your weight loss long-term.

If you've been trying to lose weight on your own but can't seem to stick to a plan, you may need to seek the help of a team of experts who can guide you along a successful weight loss journey. Your Initial Consultation
An initial consultation with one of our experienced staff members is the first step in this process. Your first visit will only cost $5 dollar, and you'll also receive two vitamin B-6 injections FREE (when you buy 2 at regular price). During this consultation, you'll meet with a trained medical staff member, a physician's assistant, or a physician who will sit down with you and get a better understanding of your current health, your medical history, and your weight loss goals.
Keep in mind that there is no obligation when you attend this consultation. You won't have to sign any long-term contracts, and you won't be forced to shop from a list of hard-to-find, expensive, specialty diet foods. We aim to help you reach your weight loss goals, and we've designed a program that can help you successfully lose that weight that's been holding you back.
Creating a Foundation
At your first visit, we will also calculate your current Body Mass Index and your Ideal Body Weight, your goal weight. These numbers are based on your original body weight, gender, height, and age. Determining these factors will give us a starting point on which to build and move forward in creating your program.
After performing a complete physical examination and checking your vital signs (Blood pressure & heart rate), we'll find out more about your current health and lifestyle and then choose a weight loss program that helps you reach your goals as quickly and as safely as possible.
Learning About the Program
Once we learn more about your health and make the necessary calculations, you'll spend 20 to 30 minutes with a physician or physician's assistant who will describe the program details and each step of the process.
This is the time for you to listen and learn, but you'll also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. We'll also provide you with detailed information about the foods you can eat while on this diet. You'll be provided with a menu that will help make the process easier, as well as recipes that you can make to accommodate your specific meal plan.
Performing the Necessary Health Screenings
During this process, we may need to perform some additional screenings based on your current health. After reviewing your medical history and learning more about your current health, we may order an EKG or a blood test.
This blood test may include a lipid profile, thyroid hormone evaluation, or a diabetes screening. Our goal is to be as thorough as possible to ensure that every component of your program is working not only to help you lose weight but also to promote your overall health and wellness.
